Gabriel Azoulay has been practicing and teaching yoga since 1991. In 2004, he was introduced to Thai Yoga massage while exploring the path yoga has taken throughout Asia. His teaching connects India with traditional Chinese medicine and Thai Yoga massage, while applying these ancient practices to modern times.
During his time in Asia, Gabriel spent almost one year with renowned Thai massage master Pichet Boonthume and was instrumental in developing and leading yoga training workshops for Thailand’s largest yoga studios.. His travels eventually took him to the United States, where in 2007, he opened Rejuvenation, a yoga and Thai massage center in Arizona geared toward making these practices understandable and accessible to a wide variety of individuals..
Gabriel’s broad background in teaching, training, and practicing are well-known for their ability to inspire his students’ practice, skills and talent. His book on yoga, ‘Breath: the Yogic prime’ sheds light on the experiences he and his students have shared on and off the mat.
An international authority on yoga and Thai yoga massage, Gabriel’s commentary has appeared in Sports Illustrated for Women, FitYoga and yogitimes in the United States, and he has been featured on numerous television and radio broadcasts. He currently is working on a Thai yoga massage book for children and adults.
While Gabriel credits Pichet Boonthume as his major influence oh Thai Yoga, Tim Miller, Anthony ‘Prem’ Carlisi, Lisa Schrempp, David Deida, Vincenzo ‘Enzo’ Coribello are a few of the direct teachers which have influenced both his practice, his teaching and approaches to the mat.
We recognize that asana yoga practice, placing the body in various poses to maintain health, vitality and clarity of mind, is a direct influence to Thai massage. Thai massage is a lifestyle. It is intended for people to learn, share and practice with family, friends and all. We offer training programs, both group and private, yoga and more.
